Israel's SME sector is an important economic sector, which provides employment to numerous parties both directly and indirectly and is mostly located in peripheral areas, thereby constituting a substantial layer of the economic strength of the state of Israel. In IMOD's view, small and medium enterprises are critical to national security, as they provide prompt, flexible solutions to urgent needs, constitute a source of technological innovation, contribute to the enhancement of competitiveness and possess specialized knowledge and expertise.

The Business Information & SME Department at SIBAT offers the following services to small and medium enterprises-introduction & familiarization, training & instruction business information, business opportunities, meetings with foreign clients & defense industries etc.
