Welcome

Leading the Way for Cooperation and Partnership

Built upon mutual trust and respect, Israelis and Indians are sharing technological, scientific and industrial assets for the common benefit of both countries. Based on years of successful achievements, at Defexpo 2010 this cooperation will be gathering momentum, in anticipation for a promising future cooperation.

Israel’s unique strategic situation has challenged the nation’s technological capabilities to counter multifaceted threat situations in a constantly changing regional scenario. Israel maintains a highly capable, but quite small armed force, equipped with state-of-the-art weapon systems. However, advanced indigenous technologies are creating highly effective force-multipliers, essential for its survival against existential threats.

Israel relied on its defense industries to design, develop, upgrade and produce its wide array of weapon systems, safeguarding its national security. At Defexpo 2010 Israel displays a wide range of defense systems, including active systems for air defense and armored vehicle protection. Sophisticated robotics, soldier-wearable systems and advanced sensors, including electro-optical systems, radars and radio-electronic equipment are visualizing the battlefield, integrated with battle-proven command and control, communications and computer solutions, to optimally and rapidly match between sensors and shooters. Precision fire support is also enhancing artillery, mortars and infantry operations in urban warfare and complex close-in combat situations.

Visitors to the Israeli pavilion at Defexpo 2010 will gain first-hand impression of these advanced systems and the elements that have made Israeli weapons technologies unique. Ranging from sophisticated electro-optical components and subsystems, to inertial navigation devices, cryo-cooling for thermal imaging, or high performance filtering devices designed to withstand harsh desert conditions and lethal chemical attack. These are displayed by Israel's leading defense industries, seeking partnership and cooperation opportunities.
